…Finally the D-Day has arrived. It is that day which you had anxiously waited for so long. The clock slowly ticks 0.00 A.M at midnight and the anxiety begins to build even more. Butterflies in stomach, nervousness of final moment, jittery feeling of going through the process, the whole scenario just runs through the eyes and mind! It’s a tense moment and why not, you had lived these moments long before with your grandmother with those fancy prince charming stories and then the day finally has arrived to wed the prince of your dreams!…
Wait… knock-knock! There’s something you need to ensure before your special day finally arrives, so that, you do not have any signs of regrets, once “those” moments have gone.
The anxiety and the excitement mixed within them create so many emotions that we tend to forget a lot of things on our wedding day. So all you beautiful brides to be! This is your final call to the checklist before you hit those penultimate moments:
1. Give time to your parents, though rarely would they get time to sit with you whilst ensuring the arrangements, but, it is these last moments spent with them which you’d cherish for the rest of your life.
2. Be relaxed, although very easy to say and very hard to do, but believe it or not a fully vitalized, hydrated and a relaxed body with a good night’s sleep will shine through your face.
3. Get Close to your closest ones – Rejuvenate yourself by being close to your closest ones. Be it your friends, relatives or pals, try and spend your moments with Happy People. Being happy will automatically put a glitter to your body and face.
4. Check your Beautician in priority. If the wedding is about to happen outside the town, make sure you hire the best beautician well in time with all the researches done. Though it sounds a hefty sum, but remember… no price is more than “the look” that you’ve long desired, and probably you’ve already spent sleepless nights planning it endlessly.
5. Wedding dress, Jewelry and Footwears – Check twice! Being the most important ingredients for a bride, they must be matched, trialed and worn much before to get that perfect bridal fit and look because, when those heads will turn to see you, you shall get your answer in their open mouths and jaws dropped!
6. Buddy up – Make sure you have one person at whom you can entrust everything, who know all your knicks n knacks and about all your requirements at any given time as u being the bride won’t be able go everywhere and do everything.
7. Get your family moments clicked! Make sure a close friend, pal or sibling is always there to take those special moments photographs where photographers do not have access. Private family gatherings, music parties, time spent with relatives etc. are few moments which you always want to capture and cherish many years after wedding as well.
8. Don’t stay hungry, though most weddings take their own time to complete, but have some snacks or dry fruits to stay energized throughout this important day.
9. Proper packing for a destination wedding. This should be done thoroughly with a check list for all important clothes, undergarments and other accessories needed. Possibly pack them well in advance with a cool mind. It is not a bad idea to prepare an emergency kit as well.
10. Charge your mobile batteries, as you’re going to receive lots of wishes and messages this day, so ensure you stay connected till the last moment.
The list may go on and numerous small things can be added more to them, but planning well in advance will keep your nerves cool and ensuring them with a check list becomes more manageable too.
…Someone has rightly said that “you can’t let this event be less than perfect; after all it’s an event of life”…
