Nestled in the midst of an oak forest, The Lake Resort in the Kumaon Hills of Uttarakhand is a resort straight out of a fairytale. Amidst foliage and a beautiful lake lies Naukuchiatal’s gigantic Lake Resort where Aakriti & Prateek decided to tie the knot. Inspired by the scenic beauty of the orchards and a mesmerizing oak forest, the wedding decor spoke volumes about the couple and their love for the outdoors. It didn’t look anything short of a paradise designed and put together by Aashna Saran Design.
With 2 days of unprecedented extreme weather conditions that threatened to literally drench the entire wedding decor. From pouring rain to a hail storm the preparations withstood the extremities. With Ashna’s knack for creativity, she improvised and redesigned the decor for it to not only look beyond gorgeous but also meet the vision of the couple. It wasn’t just their wedding that had a whimsical start, Prateek took Aakriti to the island of Song Saa for her birthday to propose to her at sunrise against the most surreal backdrop. However the emphatic Yes! cost them an injured knee, almost capsizing the boat, 2 drowned phones, and a nose bleed.
It’s the theatrics that makes this couple like Marshmallows & Campfires, perfect together.
