It won’t be wrong to say that it was a fairy-tale wedding straight out of a movie. Those little things that really make a whole wedding- the tiny edible fruit centrepieces, jhulas with pompoms and all the drama that surrounds it. Sajal and Shruti’s Happily Ever After had it all. The heritage architecture and regal demeanour of Le Meridien, Jaipur, gives the impression of royalty. The gorgeous décor designed, planned and executed by Hitchkey Weddings, was high on aesthetics and looked like a dream come true. So, if you are here for a dose of love, creativity and enthusiasm, we promise the takeaways are colossal.
The Adorable First Meet
Sajal is a businessman and Shruti an architect and both being introverts, we will leave it to your imagination what the first interaction would have been like! They were introduced by their families and they knew they were meant to be! But, just not instantly! With diverse interests, yet, the same ideologies, they slowly discovered how beautiful they are together and the rest, as they say, is history!
Ethereal Blue Pottery
The morning festivities started with an intimate Welcome Lunch themed Blue Pottery inspired by Rajasthan at Surya Vilas by the pool. With the sun and its gleam, it looked ethereal. The entire poolside was decorated with hints of yellow and lots of play with lemon, that added vigour and freshness to the air. With a little consideration to most guests who had to recover from their journeys from all over the country, a designated hospitality desk and a well-planned Room Hampers during check-in for all guests ensured that they didn’t have to wait long to join the celebrations.
Tropical and Disco Ball Sangeet Night
The evening witnessed a spectacular Sangeet dressed in Tropical and Disco ball theme at Amer Ballroom The entire entrance area was ornated with multiple miniature installations of green and glitzy glam disco balls which enthralled the guests. A stunning photo booth was aesthetically placed which had the guests play paparazzi. For Sajal & Shruti’s entry, they had huge sized Unicorns with low fog and the couple walked on their favourite song. The stage had “Whistle when you vibe” written amid the garden theme décor with huge glass balls. The night saw some well-rehearsed and neatly choreographed entertaining family performances.
The Mexican Boho Carnival
The second and the most fun-filled morning was the Mexican Boho themed Carnival. Everything about this party was exotic and vibrant. From the wild décor with shades of bohemian intermingled with a modern vibe, everything was downright gorgeous. Be it the bar with 12 jhulas decorated with the pompoms instead of the cliched flowers to centrepieces out of edible cut fruits, the colourful rugs charmingly placed, you could Pinterest all these ideas. Our couple entry was with smoke bombs which merged gorgeously with the décor. The guests added a special vibe to the celebrations.
Amer Fort’s Sheesh Mahal Inspired Wedding
And then followed the much-anticipated day of the wedding which witnessed baraatis lead by two majestic elephants and all guests and groom dancing to the tunes of the DJ. Sajal entered with royal panache on a horse. The wedding ceremony took place at the Amer Lawns with a stunning Green and White mandap.
The mandap décor was inspired by Amer Fort’s Sheesh Mahal made of rich and regal glass inlay design called thikri work. The theme was Green and White. The rectangular seating/dining area was decorated with chandeliers and rose tassels. Centrepieces were arranged with mixed flowers and candles. Candle installation throughout the venue looked exquisite. The pathway to the mandap was 60feet long. The Varmala ceremony had more than 200 cold pyros and low fog used. Emotions and rituals, fun and celebrations continued till the wee hours.
