A year after we had met, we went to Paris for my birthday celebration. He said he had booked a good restaurant with my favorite cuisine. As we arrived, the matador excited us to a private rooftop overlooking the Eiffel, where a violinist played Happy Birthday while a photographer took pictures of us. The photographer got us in a pose where I couldn’t see him and as I turned around for the next shot, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. Tears of joy rolled down my eyes; this is the best Birthday gift I could ask for.
