Yoga is actually, in its deepest sense, the science of human being perfection. It is the means by which an individual can attain his or her fullest development: actual physical, mental and spiritual.
Human excellence? This is a tall order. Will not come with just a few stretches of the thighs. While yoga has its external practices as well as exercises, its true foundation is proper conduct. Correct conduct means living a life that will generate harmony with the society around you along with your own inner self.
