    I come from a family of educationists. My late grandfather and his three children including my father, were all PhDs. My grandfather founded Davars College of Commerce and Secretarial Studies in the year 1900 and my late father continued his legacy.

    My parents wanted me to follow the family tradition and be an educationist too. But I was more interested in the performing arts And eventually I did become an educationist, although in performing arts.

    My parents wanted me to follow the family tradition and be an educationist too. But I was more interested in the performing arts And eventually I did become an educationist, although in performing arts.

    My journey as a performing artist started at the age of 7 in my living room. I would call my friends over and would make an entry from behind the curtains, holding a Coke bottle in my hand like a mike, I would sing and entertain them. I imagined that I was already a legend in my living room.

    After completing my graduation in commerce I went to London to attend summer school for acting, singing and dance. When I went back to India, my spiritual gurus, the Bhavnagris, advised me to start dance classes. I had 7 students in my first class. 5 of them were my family and friends. I faced a lot of humiliation and ridicule. People said boys dont dance and what is this Jazz dance? But I believed in God and my spiritual guides, and I didnt give up. The more people tried to put me down, the tougher they made me. I stayed positive and fearless.
