My affair with the magic of food began with rahul akerkar at under the over. This was followed by a certified course in hotel administration and food technology at Sophia polytechnic in 1994. In 1996 I went to Manhattan, New York City where I trained in cordon bleu and learnt French cooking techniques at the French culinary institute. Prior to my stint at the FCI, I was an apprentice at the James beard kitchen. During my course at the FCI, which spanned 9 months, I also worked at vongs (a French-Vongeritchen. Later on I dabbled with food design for advertisement campaigns in new York. I returned to Bombay in 1997 and started applying the techniques I had learnt to 5- course gourmet sit- down dinners fo clients.
