Situated just behind the Taj Mahal and a stone's throw away from the Gateway of India, Regency Inn is housed in a 19th century edifice called Lansdowne House. This 21-room boutique heritage hotel used to be the town house of the famous Sassoon family who were instrumental in building south Mumbai.
Regency Inn retains most of this colonial charm. And to enhance the effect most ofthe furniture is antique with the reception area boasting of a 200 year old Belgian chandelier.
However keeping in mind the needs of the modern traveller, the rooms are modern and fitted with all the comforts expected of a fine hotel. All rooms are individually air-conditioned, have multi-channel satellite TV and direct dialling phones.
